In 1992, two brothers - Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil Teja Reetz and Dr. rer. nat. Roland Reetz - established HTM Reetz GmbH manufacturing enterprise, with significant concentration on research and development.
Initially, the enterprise focused on two business divisions: the production of custom-made furnaces and devices for high temperature applications on the one hand, and the production of high-tech ceramic materials on the other hand. Both divisions developed steadily and at a moderate pace.
As about 15 % of HTM's turnover is based on export, a sales office was opened in Phoenix/Arizona in 2002.
In 2004, HTM decided to concentrate on its core business, the production of high temperature furnaces and devices, and sold its division of ceramic production.
HTM is the market leader in Germany in the production of tube furnaces. Furthermore, during the last few years, we have also succeeded in expanding our market position in the field of elevator furnaces, rotary tube furnaces, crystal growing units and cold wall furnaces (vacuum and protective gas furnaces).
An essential characteristic of our company is our ability to develop customized solutions according to specialist requirements. Our strong points are
- Solid knowledge of material compatibilities at high temperatures;
- Experience in using various heating systems, defined gas atmospheres and
vacuum equipment; - Control of complex systems considering the interrelation of temperature, gas flows and movements.
Opening of a trade office in Reutov (Moscow)
At present HTM has 15 permanent employees, 7 of them are university or technical college graduates. In addition, guest scientists and work placement trainees work temporarily for HTM.
Most of HTM's customers come from research and development institutes of German research organizations, such as Fraunhofer Society and Max Planck Society, national and international universities as well as industrial R&D divisions. HTM's cooperation with these partners clearly demonstates HTM's customer-oriented, innovative and technology-driven work.
