Glove box furnaces
Compact and place saving high temperature furnaces up to 2000 °C for gas-tight rooms (glove box)
The essential part of the furnace is a tubular heater with a so-called "inside heating coil" made of FeCrAl (KANTHAL) or molybdenum heating wire which is embedded into ceramic cement. Together with the thermal insulation - consisting of well-matched layers of ceramic refractory materials and pure alumina fibers - and a thermocouple, this tubular heater forms the heater unit of the glove box furnace. The heater unit is encased in a water-cooled V2A housing. A thermocouple, which usually projects from the bottom into the heater room, is used to measure the temperature.
