Drives
There are several applications of HTM's high temperature furnaces that require drives for mechanically moved components, e.g.:
- for the rotation of the reactor in rotary tube furnaces;
- for lifting/lowering of furnace bottoms or of hoods of top hat furnaces;
- for a precise and reproducible movement of samples in crystal growing units;
- for transporting the material to be tempered through the furnace;
HTM offers customized solutions for drives and drive control that match the user's requirements.

Examples
Drive for rotary tube furnace
(Rotary tube furnace AU07-0-111)
- Both tapered ends of the quartz glass reactor are enclosed in a cylindrical frame and roll on ball bearings. The frame is force-fit connected to the reactor ends and can be loosened for cleaning.
- One of the bearings is equipped with a toothed belt wheel. A gear motor drives the wheel via a toothed belt.

Pneumatic hoist for elevator furnace
(Elevator furnace AU07-0-022)
- Each elevator furnace is provided with two hoisting bottom platforms. When lowered, the bottom platform rests on a rail system and can be moved aside, thus enabling a quick change of the material to be treated in the furnace.
- The control unit of the equipment controls the lifting and lowering of the hoisting bottom.

Drives for crucible supports and additional heater in crystal growing units

- The crucible support and the additional heater are vertically movable, independently of each other.
